Meet Our Founder
Cady Lalanne
Cady Lalanne’s story doesn’t begin on a basketball court. It begins in Haiti.
Growing up, Cady learned early what adversity looked like—and what it meant to push through it. When his family moved to the United States, he carried that determination with him and eventually found a path through basketball. The game gave him structure, mentorship, and a community that believed in his potential.
Through basketball, Cady earned the opportunity to pursue higher education and compete at the highest levels across the United States and around the world. But as his journey continued, he often found himself thinking about the young people who never receive those same opportunities—not just in Haiti, but in underserved communities everywhere where talent goes unnoticed because the resources simply aren’t there.
That realization led to the creation of BTC Foundation.
Through BTC, Cady works to do for the next generation what sports, mentorship, and opportunity did for him—creating programs that provide young people with access to mentorship, athletic development, education, and technology.
Cady’s journey from Haiti to professional basketball is proof that circumstances do not define potential.
For Cady, BTC isn’t charity—it’s personal. It’s about making sure the next kid with a dream gets a real chance.
